Common Questions

Q

Why is Cyber Patrol G conducting enforcement activities?

A

Our organization is formally commissioned by landowners and management companies to manage and enforce regulations at designated parking and bicycle parking areas.
Unauthorized parking has long been a social problem, troubling landowners and legitimate users alike. Cyber Patrol G was established to help resolve this issue by managing entrusted properties.

Q

I didn’t realize it was a paid area and my vehicle got locked. I want to move it immediately. What should I do?

A

The area where you parked is a paid space, and signs clearly state that vehicles parked without payment may be locked.
To unlock, please scan the QR code on the warning notice or signage with your smartphone. After completing the payment, you will receive an unlock code, allowing you to release the lock yourself.
Please do not take the lock with you after unlocking. Instead, securely reattach it to the designated area following the on-screen instructions.

Q

My vehicle was moved from where I originally parked it.

A

We only operate within the premises entrusted to us and never move vehicles from outside areas.
If an illegally parked vehicle is obstructing traffic or legitimate use within the property, minimal relocation within the premises may occur.
You can check photos showing the location before and after the move by scanning the QR code on the warning notice and selecting your vehicle.

Q

I had made a reservation but still got locked. Why?

A

Even with a reservation, your vehicle may be locked under the following circumstances:
1. The vehicle information on-site does not match the registered reservation details
(such as registration number, vehicle number, photos, etc.)
2. No reservation was made for the day in question (e.g., reserved for the wrong date)
3. Monthly contract has expired due to card expiration or insufficient prepaid coin balance.

Please review your registered details and reservation status.
Note: Updating your registration after the vehicle has been locked does not qualify for unlocking. Please contact us first.

Q

I only parked for a few minutes, but my vehicle got locked.

A

Even short-term unauthorized parking on someone else's property is considered a violation.
Such behavior causes inconvenience to others and fosters a breeding ground for further unauthorized use. Therefore, enforcement actions are taken.

Q

I used the store or facility. Why am I considered unauthorized parking?

A

Whether a facility user may park depends on each parking area's rules.店舗や施設のご利用者が駐輪してよいかは、各駐輪場の規定によります。
Examples include:

・No parking allowed at all, even for facility customers
・Parking allowed only while using the facility
・Parking allowed only during store hours and in designated spaces

If you do not comply with the site-specific rules, you may be treated as an unauthorized parker even as a customer.
Please check the onsite signage for details.

Q

I didn't park my vehicle there. Do I still need to pay?

A

If you didn't park the vehicle yourself, we ask you to provide proof.
Without proof, the registered owner of the vehicle is responsible for payment.
This policy exists because there have been cases where individuals falsely claimed innocence, leading us to enforce this rule fairly.

Q

How are the damage compensation fees and management fees calculated?

A

These fees are calculated based on factors like patrol labor costs, transportation expenses, lock costs, management storage costs, and damage to service trust due to unauthorized parking.
All calculations are made under legal supervision to ensure fairness.

Q

On what legal basis are you locking vehicles?

A

Unauthorized parking on someone else’s land constitutes a tort under civil law. We perform enforcement based on prior agreements with landowners and management companies, and clear signage is installed in advance.

For detailed legal perspectives, please see here

Q

The police (or facility manager) told me I could cut the lock. Is that okay?

A

The police generally do not intervene in civil matters. If you were told you could cut the lock, it may have been an individual's personal, incorrect advice.
There have been cases where officers who authorized lock-cutting had to apologize and compensate for their mistake.

Cutting someone else’s lock is considered destruction of property and can result in a criminal record.
Please do not cut the lock — instead, settle the damages appropriately.

Q

What payment methods are available for unlocking?

・Credit Card
